John Hubbell

John Hubbell is a drummer, bassist, guitarist, composer, educator and audio engineer based in Brooklyn. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Purchase College. As a member of the high energy horn band, Huntertones, he has toured five continents and recently appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s web series, #PlayAtHome. Huntertones is also a cultural ambassador ensemble for the U.S. State Department program, American Music Abroad. This life changing experience includes offering group lessons, master classes, performances and collaborative events with local artists in Africa, Asia and the Americas. Countless middle school and high school band clinics and years of private teaching give John a unique and broad skill set that crosses cultures and genres, and values joy and listening above all.
